Editable packages

Editable packages deploy packaged content to your tenant and support post-deployment customization to meet business requirements.

Unlike read-only packages, editable packages provide full control over deployed content. You can update, extend, and customize resources after deployment. Future package updates do not overwrite your customizations.

When a new version of an editable package becomes available, IDM deploys the new version's contents as new template versions alongside the existing deployed content of the same package within the tenant. You can review changes and adopt updates when appropriate. Existing configurations and customizations remain unchanged.
