Post-deployment tasks

Complete these tasks after you deploy a global package.

API Gateway does not require post-deployment tasks when you use the values and package parameters from the exported package to import package content.

If you want to adopt changes from the reference template after deploying an updated package version, complete the tasks in this topic.

Adopting latest changes from the reference version

After you deploy an editable global package, standard lists and search views in API Gateway display only live instances. Reference template instances are not displayed in these views.

Resources that belong to an editable global package are identified by a Live indicator in the UI.

Accessing the reference template

To view the reference template for a resource:

  1. Open the live instance of the resource.
  2. Click Versions in the global package to open the Versions panel.
  3. Select the reference template version.

The reference template opens in a separate browser tab in read-only mode. Save, Delete, Duplicate, and Export are not available.

Editing live resources

Edit the configuration fields of live instances in the same way as other resources in API Gateway. Saving your changes does not affect the reference template.
