Editable global packages use a dual-instance model in the target tenant.
Editable packages and the dual-instance model
An editable global package enables applications to use a dual-instance framework in the target tenant. When the first version of a resource is deployed, the system creates two instances for each resource.

The live instance is the resource that you work with during daily operations. You can modify its configuration fields, such as endpoint URLs, policies, and authentication settings. Some content fields, such as resource names, remain fixed.
The reference template is a protected, read-only copy that reflects the content delivered by Infor. You can view it for comparison purposes, but you cannot modify or delete it.
