Configuration Management makes tenant-to-tenant promotion repeatable, traceable, and less error prone by providing a controlled mechanism for exporting, validating, and importing supported resources. The Infor Configuration Management framework is based on packages that contain selected resources and metadata that can be deployed to other environments.

For BaaS developers, it is important to understand Configuration Management from the perspective of how BaaS capabilities are delivered and maintained across environments. The broader Configuration Management framework supports multiple package types and application-specific resources, but not all concepts are relevant to BaaS development.
