Limitations

Review the supported capabilities and operational limitations of Enterprise Connector and OAuth 2.0 Target Security.

Payload limit

Enterprise Connector supports payloads up to 5 MB.

Manual import of the public key or certificate

For HTTPS-based target APIs, import the public key or certificate manually in the Enterprise Connector GRID Administration tool. For more information, see the Enterprise Connector knowledge base documentation.

Compression support

The Hybrid Service does not support the Deflate content encoding. More efficient compression algorithms are recommended.

Timeout limitations

The default timeout values for Enterprise Connector are shown in the following table.


Timeout	Default value
`connectTimeout`	1 minute
`socketTimeout`	1 minute
`connectionRequestTimeout`	5 minutes

You can configure these timeout values by using the following Enterprise Connector GRID variables:


        "ionapi.connect.timeout" : connectTimeout
        "ionapi.socket.timeout" : socketTimeout
        "ionapi.request.timeout" : connectionRequestTimeout

OAuth 2.0 limitations

Resource Owner Password Credentials (ROPC) is a legacy grant type. Use Client Credentials when the target service supports it.
Access tokens are stored in memory only. After the Hybrid Service restarts, tokens are acquired again automatically.
Only one OAuth 2.0 configuration can be defined for each endpoint.
The token endpoint must use HTTPS. HTTP endpoints are not supported.
