Supply Chain Assistant example

This example shows how an Infor GenAI agent can use multiple MCP tools to answer supply chain questions.

The goal of this example is to create an agent that answers supply chain questions by using M3 and a custom warehouse API.

To use this example, ensure that:

  • The M3 MCP Server is MCP-enabled through the Registry.
  • A custom warehouse MCP Server is registered as a Non-Infor suite and designated as an MCP Server by an administrator in API Gateway.

Example configuration:

  • The agent is named Supply Chain Assistant.
  • Both MCP Server tools are added.
  • The agent instructions specify:
    • Help users check order status and inventory levels.
    • Use the M3 customer orders tool for order queries.
    • Use the warehouse stock levels tool for inventory checks.
  • The agent is published.

Example user interactions include:

  • What’s the status of order 12345? The agent calls the M3 customer orders tool.
  • Do we have enough stock of SKU-4821 in Chicago? The agent calls the warehouse stock levels tool.
  • Which orders are delayed and do we have inventory to fulfill them? The agent calls both tools and correlates the data.
