Review the requirements for using Enterprise Connector with API Gateway and configuring OAuth 2.0 Target Security.

General Enterprise Connector prerequisites

For Enterprise Connector service prerequisites, see the Infor ION User Guide—Cloud Edition.

These additional requirements apply when using Enterprise Connector with API Gateway:

Requirement Details
Database Only SQL Server is supported.
Operating system Only Windows is supported.
Enterprise Connector version Enterprise Connector version 2020-08 or later is required.
Enterprise location An enterprise location must be provisioned in ION by a user with the IONDeskAdmin role.

OAuth 2.0 Target Security prerequisites

These additional requirements apply when configuring OAuth 2.0 Target Security:

  1. You must have the IONAPI-Administrator role to access the Enterprise Connector target endpoint security configuration.
  2. The target endpoint must have Enterprise Connector enabled.
  3. You must obtain the Token URL, Client ID, and Client Secret from the external service. For the Resource Owner Password Credentials grant type, you must also obtain a user name and password.
  4. The Hybrid Service must have outbound HTTPS access to the external authorization server.
