Review example configurations for using Enterprise Connector with OAuth 2.0 Target Security.

Example 1: Connecting to a Salesforce API by using Client Credentials

In this example, Enterprise Connector connects to a Salesforce REST API by using OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials.

  1. Create a Connected App in Salesforce and note the client ID, client secret, and token URL.

  2. In API Gateway, open the Non-Infor API suite that contains your Salesforce endpoint.

  3. Ensure that the endpoint is configured to use Enterprise Connector and the correct enterprise location.

  4. In the Target Security section, select OAuth2.0 and then Client Credentials.

  5. Specify the token URL, client ID, client secret, and, if required, the scope.

  6. Click Save.

The Hybrid Service automatically acquires a Salesforce access token and includes it in outbound requests.

Example 2: Connecting to a partner on-premises API by using Resource Owner Password Credentials (ROPC)

In this example, Enterprise Connector connects to a partner API that requires Resource Owner Password Credentials (ROPC).

  1. Obtain the token URL, client ID, client secret, username, and password for the service account.

  2. In API Gateway, open the API suite and endpoint that are configured to use Enterprise Connector.

  3. In the Target Security section, select OAuth2.0 and then Resource Owner Password Credentials.

  4. Specify the required configuration values, including the username and password for the service account.

  5. Click Save.

The Hybrid Service authenticates by using the service account when calling the partner API.
