Inventory Turnovers Ratio

The Inventory Turnovers Ratio widget displays a bubble chart that plots inventory performance by warehouse for the last 12 months from the current year and month, based on the filters defined in the Apply filters section:

  • X axis: 12-month Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for the warehouse.
  • Y axis: 12-month average inventory value for the warehouse.
  • Bubble size: Current inventory value for the warehouse.

A warehouse positioned further right and higher on the chart is moving a large amount of COGS against a large average inventory balance. The bubble size indicates how much inventory value the warehouse is currently carrying, irrespective of the position on the chart.

Note: 
  • By default, the Year/Month field value is set to the current month.

  • The data in this chart is loaded from Birst application. The No data returned from Cloud Suite Distribution Birst Analytics warning message is displayed, if no Birst Space ID is associated with the logged-in tenant.

You can perform these actions in the widget:

  • Hover over a bubble to view the corresponding information such as Warehouse ID, Inventory Value, 12 Months Turn, 12 Months Inventory Value, and 12 Months COGS.
  • Click the Filter icon to select the required Year/Month value.

  • Click one of these options to access the Inventory Summary window:

    • Warehouse icon in the X axis: To view the selected warehouse information in a tabular format such as Warehouse ID, Product Category, Inventory Value, 12 Months Turn, 12 Months Inventory Value, and 12 Months COGS.
    • View Details: To view all warehouses information in a tabular format such as Warehouse ID, Product Category, Inventory Value, 12 Months Turn, 12 Months Inventory Value, and 12 Months COGS, categorized by warehouse.

    The View Inventory Summary option on the Inventory Summary window allows you to access the Inventory Turnover Summary page in the Birst application.
