Configuring authentication URL options

Use the Authentication URL Options page to configure the default authentication method for external entity users and display all the available URLs external entity users can use to authenticate into the external entity.

These options require your system to have more than one authentication method available.

To allow users to choose the authentication mode and select the default authentication mode you must configure a Federated Security or enable a social provider for an external entity.

To give external entity users the option to select authentication mode and select their authentication method (an Infor CloudSuite identity, a federated security, or a social provider) each time they attempt to sign in, select Allow your users to choose Authentication mode.

To set a default authentication mode, clear the Allow your users to choose Authentication mode check box and select the appropriate Your default authentication mode is value. The item list contains the federated identity configured in the external entity and any enabled social providers, and Infor CloudSuite identities.

On the Authentication URL Options page are URLs that allow you to access your system with different authentication methods. These URLs override the default configuration stated above:
Default URL
This is the default URL that allows users to sign in with the authentication method selected in the Your default Authentication mode is field.
Infor OS Portal Identity URL
This is the URL that always allows external entity users to sign in with an Infor CloudSuite identity.
Federated Identity URL
This is the URL that always allows external entity users to sign in with a federated identity.
Prompt for Authentication mode URL
This is the URL that always allows external entity users to choose what method of authentication with which to sign in.
Specific Federated Identity URL
There is one URL for each federated identity. This is the URL that always allows external entity users to sign in with the specific federated identity.
Note: The authentication URL option is not available to Landmark customers. It may be supported for Landmark at a future date.
Specific Google Identity URL
This is the URL that always allows external entity users to sign in with a Google account.
Note: This option is only available if Google is an enabled social provider for the external entity.
Specific LinkedIn Identity URL
This is the URL that always allows external entity users to sign in with a LinkedIn account.
Note: This option is only available if LinkedIn is an enabled social provider for the external entity.
