Configuring sign in providers

You can enable sign in providers when you create an external entity without a profile.

Sign in providers are an alternative way an external user can authenticate into their account. You can enable passkeys and any configured social provider for each external entity.

Users assigned to the Infor-SystemAdministrator or IFS-ExternalEntity Admin security roles can enable or disable the Passkey feature for an external entity. This setting is on the Specific External Entity details page under the Sign In Providers. You can enable it by selecting the Passkey check box. To save the changes and apply the new feature to the Cloud Identities sign-in page, the administrator must select the save icon located at the top-left corner of the external entity details screen. This only enables Passkeys for this specific external entity.

Passkeys are available to all external entity users in the external entity who have access to Infor Cloud Identities.

When you enable passkeys for an external entity, Cloud Identity users can use passkeys to sign in their account. Passkeys offer an added layer of security. To authenticate, the server requests the user's device to prove it has the private key corresponding to the stored public key. Users who are using passkeys sign in using their biometrics or PIN.

  1. Select External Entities > Specific External Entity details and select the Sign In Providers tab.
  2. Select the Passkey check box.
  3. Click Save.

When you configure a social provider for an external entity, users can link their external entity account to the social provider and use it for authentication.

  1. Select External Entities > Specific External Entity details and select the Sign In Providers tab.
  2. Enable the checkbox of the required social provider.
Note: Only configured social providers are available.
  3. Click Save.

To enable a social provider select Settings > Social provider in the navigation pane.
