Creating a data flow

An example is provided where the target is Data Lake, because it is the easiest flow to model. However, like other connection point types, you can use the IMS via API Gateway connection point in any flow.

  1. In ION, select Connect > Data Flows.
  2. Add a Data Flow.
    1. Specify a name, such as to_myapp (receive from my app).
    2. Create a flow from any activity of choice to an Application activity.
      1. Add your connection point (cp_myapp) to the application.
      2. Select the documents icon between the two components and add the documents you plan to receive. For this example Sync.SalesOrder.
      3. In the left bottom pane, verify the data flow has no notifications left.
      4. Save the data flow.
      5. Activate the data flow.
  3. Test the flow.
