Increasing RDP session limit

The Windows Server by default, limits only two concurrent RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) sessions. An issue is encountered if higher number of bots are configured in the RPA Configuration Manager. This situation can prevent additional bots from starting and can lead to failed executions.

To avoid such situations, you can increase the RDP session limit to support more than two concurrent sessions on the Windows server

  1. Install Remote Desktop Services (RDS) on the Windows Server.
  2. Activate the Remote Desktop Licensing Server.
  3. Purchase and install the appropriate number of RDS CALs (Client Access Licenses).
  4. Verify that licenses have been applied correctly. See, Activate the Remote Desktop Licensing Server – Microsoft Docs .
