Configuring a data driven KPI widget

  1. Hover over the KPI widget and click the ellipsis icon.
  2. Select Configure.
  3. Click the lookup icon in the Value field.
  4. Click Create new data source.
  5. In the Edit Data Source dialog box, specify API Gateway as the type of data source.
  6. Specify the path to data source.
    You can specify the path manually or search for it. To find the path, follow these steps:
    1. Click the Lookup icon in the Path field.
    2. Click Suite and select the application.
    3. Click Search.
    4. Click one of the listed endpoints.
    5. Click Select.
  7. Specify required input values.
  8. Optionally, edit the response.
  9. Add output values.
    1. Copy the field from the response and paste it into the Name field.
    2. Click the icon in the Expression field to parse out the path from the response.
    3. Specify aggregation type.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Select the data source.
  12. The Settings dialog box is displayed.
  13. Specify this information in the KPI section:
    Label
    Provide a descriptive label for the value.
    Sub Label
    Optionally, provide a secondary, smaller label for the value. For example, units of measure.
    Format
    Specify whether the value is displayed as a decimal or a percentage. If you select Percent, the number from the Value field is automatically converted. For example, 0.50 is displayed as 50%.
    Refresh interval
    Optionally, specify a time interval for refreshing the KPI widget.
    Launch URL
    Optionally, provide the URL of a page that opens in a new browser tab when the KPI widget is clicked.
  14. Specify this information in the Trend section:
    Value
    Optionally, provide the value used as a trend indicator. Whether the value is positive or negative determines the direction of the trend line icon.
    Format
    Specify whether the format for the trend value is decimal or percentage. If you select Percent, the number from the Value field is automatically converted. For example, 0.50 is displayed as 50%.
  15. Click Save to see your KPI widget.
  16. Save your workspace.
