Registering passkeys through the password reset flow for external entity users

When passkey is enabled for an external entity, all Cloud Identity users see Passkey as an option when completing the password reset flow. A user must follow these steps to use passkeys as an option during the login flow:

  1. Navigate to the Cloud Identities log-on page and click the Reset/Forgot Password link.
  2. Specify the required information and click Send.
  3. Click the link provided in the password reset email.
    You are redirected to the password reset page.
  4. Select the Passkey tab.
  5. Complete the necessary user information.
  6. Click Create passkey.

    You are redirected to the passkey registration page.

  7. Follow the passkey registration process.
    The passkey is successfully registered and associated with your account. You can now sign in by clicking Sign in with passkey.
