Workspace Settings

In Workspace Settings, you can manage these settings:
Setting Description
Maximum Number of User Workspaces Determines how many workspaces a user can have. The minimum is 1, and the maximum is 30. The default value is 20.
Enable Standard Workspaces Enables and disables standard workspaces.

Standard workspaces are enabled by default.

Enable Private Workspaces Enables and disables private workspaces.

Private workspaces are enabled by default.

Enable Private Workspaces > Add Exceptions Makes an exception for the Enable Private Workspaces value.
Enable Workspace Catalog Enables and disables the Workspace Catalog.

The Workspace Catalog is enabled by default.

Enable Workspace Catalog > Add exception Makes an exception for the Enable Workspace Catalog value.
Workspace Default Background Color and Branding Image > Enable customization Determines the default workspace backgrounds for all users. When the Enable customization check box is selected, you can set backgrounds and branding for a workspace.
Workspace Default Background Color and Branding Image > Default theme Determines the default background of a workspace as a light or dark solid color with no image.
Workspace Default Background Color and Branding Image > Background color Determines the color of the default background of a workspace. You can select a color from the list or specify a hex value of a different color.
Workspace Default Background Color and Branding Image > Background image Determines the default background image for a workspace. Select from preset images or upload an image. You can have up to 10 images as the selection choices.
Workspace Default Background Color and Branding Image > Branding Image Adds a branding image on top of the background. Use a transparent PNG or an SVG file with a maximum height of 60px. Select a light or dark logo version accordingly for best contrast against the background.
Enable Six Column Layout Enables the six-column layout on workspaces. When this option is enabled, the maximum number of displayed columns is six instead of four. The layout is dynamically aligned with screen size and resolution. The higher the screen size or resolution, the more columns are displayed.
Enable Six Column Layout > Allow users to choose six-column layout Enables users to turn on and off the six-column layout on workspaces. When the Allow users to choose six-column layout check box is selected, the Enable six column layout check box is available to users in User Settings > General.

The Allow users to choose six-column layout check box is selected by default.

Default Workspaces Determines whether default workspaces are used. Default workspaces are displayed when the user has no workspaces added to the Portal. If the user already has one or more workspaces, the default workspace is not added.

By default, no workspaces are set as default.

Default Workspaces > Add exceptions Makes an exception for the default workspaces and creates default workspaces for specific user roles.
Required Workspaces Determines whether required workspaces are used. Required workspaces are automatically added and displayed to all users.
