Service user details

The service user details page contains these tabs:

Note: You must save any changes to a tab before selecting another tab. A warning message is displayed if you try to switch tabs without saving.

When you click the Drill-down icon next to a service user, these service user details are displayed:

Field Description
Service Username Shows the name used in the Infor OS Portal service user profile.
Ownership Username Determines the ownership username used in the Infor OS Portal user profile. We recommend using the first and last name of the person who creates the service user.
Email Address Determines the service user's email address. The email address is used to send Infor OS Portal email notifications if the service user has verified the email address.
Caution: 
A service user's email address must be unique. An email address cannot be shared between service users.

If you change the email address, the service user must verify the new email address before Infor OS Portal email notifications can be sent to that email.

Federated ID Determines the service user's federated ID used when the service user signs in while in federated authentication mode.
IFS Person ID Determines the service user identifier in Infor ION. This feature links the Infor OS Portal service user with the Infor ION BODs.

By default, the IFS Person ID is set to the same value as IFS User GUID. To edit the IFS Person ID, you must first make the field editable. To do so, change the IFS Person ID setup to No Automatic Setting in Security Administration > IFS Person ID menu. If you make changes, click Save item.

Landmark Actor ID Determines the service user’s actor ID that is used by the Landmark application. The status of this field can be set to Mandatory or Optional based on the setting in Metadata > User Properties > Actor ID.
Note: This field is displayed only when the Landmark application is deployed.
Title Determines the service user's title used in the Infor OS Portal service user profile.
Department Determines the service user's department used in the Infor OS Portal service user profile.
Manager Determines the service user's manager. The service user's manager is notified of tasks and alerts assigned to the service user when escalation occurs. The manager must first be set up in Security before being assigned to a service user.
Alternative Manager Determines the service user's alternative manager. The alternative manager is notified of tasks and alerts assigned to the service user when escalation occurs and the manager is not available. The alternative manager must first be set up in Security before being assigned to a service user.
IFS User GUID Shows the globally unique identifier of the service user.
M3 User Alias Determines the M3 user alias, which is another identifier that can be associated with the service user. The value must be in capital letters, and the number of characters must be fewer than or equal to 10. UTF-8 characters are supported, but these characters are not allowed: ( / ? < > \ : * | " ).
Caution: 
If a service user’s M3 User Alias is blank, you can add an M3 user alias. After you create the M3 user alias, you cannot edit or change it.

This property can be defined as a required or as an optional user property in Metadata > User Properties.

LN User Determines the service user's ID that is used by the LN application. The status of this field can be set to Mandatory or Optional based on the setting in Metadata > User Properties. The value must consist of up to eight characters other than uppercase letters, spaces, and these characters: ! < > : " / | ? *.
Note: This field is displayed only when the Infor LN application is deployed.
Default Accounting Entity Determines the default accounting entity set for this service user. To set the default accounting entity, click the Search icon in the field. You can search for an accounting entity or select it directly from the list. The list consists of associated entities added on the Accounting Entities tab on the service user details page.
Picture Determines the service user's picture is used in the Infor OS Portal service user profile.
Note: The profile picture image cannot be larger than 1,024 KB.
