Creating custom metadata

This section describes the Data Catalog contents and provides instructions on how to add metadata to custom objects.

The Data Catalog contains standard custom objects from Infor applications that replicate data to Data Lake and standard Business Object Document (BOD) metadata for objects processed by the ION Service. Object schemas are provisioned and updated in the Data Catalog automatically or through the administrator interface. Standard BODs are deployed automatically to the Data Catalog.

Custom metadata entries in the Data Catalog are used to create customer-specific objects. No catalog modifications are required if only standard Infor application objects are used.

Note: You cannot modify standard metadata provided by Infor as BODs or custom objects.
