Importing a security profile

You can define security profiles in one tenant and import these permissions into other tenants. An import file may contain one or more security profiles.
Note: We recommend that you follow these best practices when importing a security profile:
  • Ensure that the security role exists in Infor OS Portal.
  • Ensure that any object the role can access has corresponding schemas in Data Catalog. Data security configurations for objects without schemas are skipped during the import.
  1. Select Security.
  2. In the Security Profiles panel, click the Import icon.
  3. Browse to the JSON file containing the security profiles to import.
  4. Click Open.
  5. Select how to proceed with the import when the import file contains security profiles that already exist.
    Skip
Duplicated security profiles are skipped. Only the unique security profiles are imported.
    Replace
Duplicated security profiles replace the existing security profiles.
  6. Click Import.

The information banner with the number of successfully imported profiles displays.

If one or more of the imported profiles result in an error or warning, the banner includes the View details button that directs you to the Import Results panel.

The Import Results panel provides a detailed overview of the import action for each profile included in your import file. You can review which profiles were successfully imported and which profiles need your attention. Profiles resulting in an error are listed first, followed by those with warnings, and finally those that were successful.
