Post-deployment tasks

There are tasks that must be completed after the global package has been deployed. This section describes these tasks.

The RPA content and processes when imported from the source tenant to the target tenant, retain the same status. Admins and Users of the process are not imported as the content and processes being imported are tenant specific. Argument definitions are imported. However, the values of arguments are not imported with the process.

Users assigned to the RPA Administrator role must perform these actions after deploying a global package:

  1. Add user, admin, and argument scoping for the deployed process.
    1. Click Manage > Processes in the RPA Management application.
    2. Select the process that is imported.
    3. Add users, admins, and argument scoping in the respective tabs. Argument Scoping enables you to define the scope of the argument. Possible values:
      • Process arguments
      • User arguments
    4. Click Save.
  2. Specify values for the arguments. You must select the process again to assign values to the arguments.
Note: If an earlier version of the imported process exists in the application, all the values automatically apply to the new version. Values are applied only to arguments that existed in the previous version. For any new arguments, you must specify the values manually.
  3. Specify global argument value, if exists.
