Assign resources to namespaces

You can associate application-specific configuration, content, extension, security, and user data to a namespace. You then create a global package version from the namespace.

To associate resources to a namespace, the namespace must first be created in CSSP for your editor tenant.

Users must have the COLEMANAI-User or the COLEMANAI-Administrator role to assign resources to namespaces.

You can associate the resources to namespaces only during the creation of new resources. A namespace list is displayed on each resource detail page properties panel. Use this list to associate the respective resource with the namespace. After the namespace is selected from the list, the corresponding package code is appended to the name field. Select all the necessary components that are required for the new resource.

A global package resource can no longer be deleted in the editor tenant once a package version is created. However, if the package version has not been created, a global package resource can be deleted in the editor tenant.

An imported global package resource in the target tenant can no longer be deleted. The export and Import of global package resources in the target tenant at an application level is disabled.
