RPA Robot Service

The RPA Robot service is a separate application that communicates with the agent inside an RPA-managed windows session. RPA Agent provides instructions to the RPA Robot Service to start the RPA Runtime process. These two types of automation are available:

  • Attended bots: These bots are created for small and repetitive day-to-day tasks that are performed on the same machine. These bots are triggered by a user or a specific user event, such as receiving a call. RPA Assistant must be installed to trigger processes in the attended mode.
Note: You must select an attended installation type to create attended bots.
  • Unattended bots: These bots are created for tasks that run long processes and do not need human intervention. These bots are controlled by Mastermind automatically. You can perform an unattended task on any machine that is connected to Mastermind or use a different dedicated machine. RPA Assistant must be installed to trigger processes in the unattended mode.
Note: You must select an unattended installation type to create unattended bots.
