Adding a security role to a user

  1. Click the Profile icon to access the user menu.
  2. Click External Entity Management. The External Entities page is displayed.
  3. Locate the tile for the external entity and double-click the Users icon (circle).
  4. Click the menu list icon on the Users page toolbar, locate and expand the node for your external entity, and click the Security Roles option to open the Security Roles page.
  5. Select a security role.
  6. Scroll down to the Users section and click the add (+) icon above the list of users currently assigned to the security role.
  7. On the Assign Users to Role overlay, select one or more users to assign to the security role.
  8. Click Add to add the selected users to the security role. The overlay remains open so that you can add more users. To add the selected users and then close the overlay, click Add & Close.
  9. Optionally, click Assign to All Existing Users to assign the security rule to all existing users or select the Assign to New Users check box to assign the security rule to new users.
  10. Click the save icon on the Security Roles page.
