Settings

In Portal > Settings, use the General Settings option to set up automatic general settings.

By default, email notifications are not enabled. Users have the option to enable or disable the different types of email notifications on their user profile page.

You can set up these options:

Setting Description
Fallback Language This setting determines the fallback language for Infor OS Portal and email language.
Only allow users to select specific languages
Use this setting to specify what languages the user can use and see in User Settings. The languages can be selected from the list of Infor OS Portal supported languages. When user selects the check box, the administrator can select the language from the Available Languages box and move it to the Selected Languages box.
Note: If this feature is enabled, the fallback language must be a language in the Selected Languages box.
Fallback locale This setting determines the fallback locale for Infor OS Portal and email locale.
Fallback time zone This setting determines the fallback time zone for Infor OS Portal and email time zone.
Sign Out Redirect This setting determines where the user is redirected upon signing out. The changes take up to 20 minutes to reflect. The URL must begin with
http(s)://
Accent color Use this setting to determine the accent color.
Default accent color This setting determines the default accent color. Use the list to select the default accent color.
Default accent color - Add exception Use this setting to add a specific default accent color for a group of users based on their security role.
Enable accent color selection A check box enables or disables whether the user can select the accent color.
Enable accent color selection - Add exception Use this setting to make an exception for enabling the accent color selection value.
Home Selection This setting determines which application appears when you log in to Infor OS Portal. You can select the First applicable workspace in navigation menu, First application in navigation menu, or Application. The application selection enables you to choose the default application for everyone.

A check box enables or disables whether the end user can select the startup selection. By default, this is enabled.

Note: If the application selected is not available for a user, then the homepage application selection uses the first application in the navigation menu as the default.
Home Button This setting determines what icon is displayed in the left of the top navigation panel: Infor logo, Home icon, or your own icon that you upload.
Profile Header Customization This setting determines what is displayed as the user menu on the portal bar. Infor OS Portal administrators can choose from these options:
  • User menu icon
  • User menu icon and user name
  • Profile photo
  • Profile photo and name
Environment Type This setting, when enabled, shows the environment type (TST, TRN, DEV…) in the navigation bar for easy identification between different tenant types.
Note: Production (PRD) environments are not displayed in the navigation bar.
Maximum Number of Tabs This setting determines how many tabs a user can have. The minimum is 5, and the maximum is 30. The default is 20.
Navigation Menu Appearance This setting determines the default display order of the navigation menu items for all users in the tenant. Drag and drop the menu items to define the order.
Note: Changes to this setting apply only to users who have not already changed their navigation order.
Maximum Number of User Workspaces This setting determines how many workspaces a user can have. The minimum is 1, and the maximum is 30. The default is 20.
Enable Standard Workspaces This setting turns on or off standard workspaces.
  • Yes – By default, the standard workspaces are enabled.
  • No – If this option is selected, the standard workspaces are disabled.
Enable Private Workspaces This setting turns on or off the private workspaces.
  • Yes – By default, the private workspaces are enabled.
  • No – If this option is selected, the private workspaces are disabled.
Enable Private Workspaces - Edit Exceptions Use this setting to make an exception for the Enable Private Workspaces value.
Enable Workspace Catalog This setting turns on or off the Workspace Catalog.
  • Yes – By default, the Workspace Catalog is enabled.
  • No – If this option is selected, the Workspace Catalog is disabled.
Enable Workspace Catalog - Add exception Use this setting to make an exception for the Enable Workspace Catalog value.
Enable Private Insight Groups in Smart Panel This setting turns on or off Private Insight Groups in Smart Panel.
  • Yes – By default, Private Insight Groups are enabled in Smart Panel.
  • No – If this option is selected, the Private Insight Groups are disabled in Smart Panel.
Enable Private Insight Groups in Smart Panel - Add exception Use this setting to make an exception for the Enable Private Insight Groups in Smart Panel value.
Enable Insight Group Catalog in Smart Panel This setting turns on or off the Insight Group Catalog in Smart Panel.
  • Yes – By default, the Insight Group Catalog in is enabled Smart Panel.
  • No – If this option is selected, the Insight Group Catalog is disabled Smart Panel.
Enable Insight Group Catalog in Smart Panel - Add exception Use this setting to make an exception for the Enable Insight Group Catalog in Smart Panel value.
Enable Offline Mode This setting enables certain applications to run in offline mode. Currently, this feature is supported only for specific use cases. It is not available to all users.
Default Workspaces Default workspaces are displayed if the user has no workspaces added to the portal. If the user already has one or more workspaces, the default workspace is not added.

By default, no workspaces are set.

Default Workspaces - Add exception Use this setting to make an exception for the default workspaces and create default workspaces for specific user roles.
Required Workspaces Required workspaces are automatically added and displayed to all users.
