Adding a functional security role

To add a functional security role:

  1. From the Infor OS Portal Security option, select Configure > Functional Security Role.
  2. On the Functional Security Role page, click the Add new item icon.
  3. Specify a name and description for the functional security role.
  4. Select the Assign to New Users check box to assign the functional security role to all new users as they are added to the system.
  5. Click the Security tab and click the Add new item icon to display the Select Security Roles dialog box.
  6. Select one or more security roles to be associated with the functional security role.
  7. Click Add & Close to add the security roles and close the dialog box.
  8. Click the Users tab and click the Add new item icon to display the Assign Users dialog box.
    Note: Only active users are displayed in the search results for the functional security role.
  9. Select one or more users to be assigned to the functional security role.
  10. Click Add & Close to add the users and close the dialog box.
  11. Click the Save item icon.
    The newly added functional security role is displayed on the Functional Security Role page.
