Service Authorized App (*.ionapi)

A backend service authorized application must be created in each tenant where the ETL Client is extracting data. For each authorized application, you must generate and save the representative credential file (*.ionapi).

This credential file must have a Service Account associated when generated.

To add a new authorized app:

  1. In the app switcher, select Infor ION API > Authorized Apps.
  2. Click the “+” icon to add a new Authorized App.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name, for example IONETL_{environment} >> IONETL_TST
    Type
    Select Backend Service.
    Description
    Copy the name you created in the Name field.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Download the Credentials.
    1. Slide the Create Service Account to the right to activate.
    2. Specify the name of the IFS service account to be associated.
    3. Click Download.
      A credential file is downloaded with the extension *.ionapi.
  6. Create this folder: x:\Infor\IONETL\Admin
  7. Copy the Authorized App credential (*.ionapi) file to the new folder.
    The file location is configured as part of the kettle.properties file.
