Discarding events and retention period

Sometimes replay queue events, are not needed any more and you have the option to remove them from the queue.

Failed events in the Replay Queue can be discarded either manually by a user or automatically when the retention period expires for an event. The retention is 7 days from the moment the event went to the Replay Queue.

Manually discarding the events is done in the same way as replaying the events. You can either discard all events for a pipeline or a category or choose to discard from a specific event.

It is important to note that when you begin discarding events, you cannot stop the process. If you discard an event in the Replay Queue and are unable to address it, all events are stored in the Data Lake and can be reintroduced into the pipeline by using the initial load feature.
