Assign resources to tags

You can associate application-specific configuration, content, extension, and security to a tag. You then create a local package by selecting one or more tags.

A prerequisite for assigning resources to tags is that you must have created tags in API Gateway by using the Configuration Management tool.

Users must have the IONAPI-Admin role to assign resources to tags.

Resources can be linked only to a tag with a status of Active. You cannot add or remove resources from a locked tag.

  1. Select API Gateway from the navigation menu.
  2. Select Configuration Management > Tags. All available tags are displayed. Only those marked Active allow for changes to the resources associated with the tag.
  3. Click a tag tile to open the Resource Association tab displaying the supported resources.
  4. Click the Associate new resources (+) icon.
  5. Select a resource type from the list.
  6. In the selected resource type list, click Add. An Add Resource overlay window is displayed with the supported resources.
  7. Select the resources to associate with the tag and confirm your selections by clicking Associate. An additional required dependencies overlay window is displayed with dependencies of the resources you selected. Resource association is displayed in alphabetical order.
Note: To delete a resource from a tag, select the check box for any resource from within the tag page and click Delete. Deleted resources repopulate in the Add Tags window.
