Deleting data objects in Atlas

Data objects can be purged in two ways in Atlas.

  1. The first option is to select to view the details of a single data object in the data grid:
    1. In the navigation menu, select Data Lake Atlas.
    2. In the left panel, select an object from the list.
    3. Click the Details icon for a data object in the data grid.
    4. When the right panel opens, click the Purge button.
  2. The second option is to select one or more data objects in the data grid:
    1. In the navigation menu, select Data Lake > Atlas.
    2. In the left panel, select an object from the list.
    3. Select the check box of one or more data objects in the data grid.
    4. When the blue row above the grid appears, click the Purge icon to delete.
    5. Click Yes when the confirmation dialog box is displayed with the selection details.
For the purge action, a history log is created. You can view this log in the dedicated Purge page in Data Fabric.
