Creating a view

  1. Click Publish in the page header toolbar.
  2. Specify a name for your view.

View names must be unique and cannot exceed 100 characters.

English letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed only.

  3. Click Next.
  4. Select at least one property to include in the view by moving it to the Selected Properties list.

By default, all default properties are listed in the Selected Properties list. Additional properties can be added to this list and default properties can be removed.

To restore the Selected Properties list to show only the default properties, click Restore default selections.

To move one or more properties between lists:

    • Double-click a single property.
    • Select one or more properties by clicking on them. Pause on one of the selected properties and use the drag icon to drag and drop them into the other list.
    • Select one or more properties and click the arrow at the top of the list.

To select or clear all properties in the list, press Ctrl + a.

To select a range of properties, click a property. Hold down the Shift key as you click another property in the same list. Those two properties, plus all properties in between, are selected.

  5. Click Next.
A SQL is generated that is based on the information provided in the wizard and defined in the model.
  6. To copy the generated SQL, click Copy.

To preview the result set of the generated query, click Preview.

  7. When you are ready to create your view, click Publish.

If the view creation is successful, then the side panel closes, and a success banner is shown.

If an error occurs, then the side panel remains open, and an error message is displayed.
