Updating existing Okta to Infor CloudSuite federations

  1. Log on to the Infor CloudSuite tenant portal with an administrator account with Cloud Identities authentication.
  2. Click an account name (person icon in the top right) to populate from the user menu.
  3. Select User Management from the User Menu options.
  4. Click the Security Administration drop-down and select Federated Security.
  5. Expand Federated Security and click the edit icon for the Okta federation.
  6. Make notes of any Sign Authentication request, Accept Encrypted Assertions, Logoff, Assertion Identity Key, and IFS user lookup field settings.
  7. Select the Okta Active Mode tab. If enabled, make note of the Okta Domain URL, Valid Response Status, and Okta Profile Property, and confirm if the IFS user lookup field is selected. The Okta API Token field should be unpopulated as it is required only if the Okta Profile Property is not set to login. The Okta API Token value is not viewable, check original notes on initial activation for the value used. If that value is not available, then generate a new API token in Okta to be used.
  8. Click the back arrow beside Federated Security at the top of the page.
  9. Access the Okta portal and open the Infor CloudSuite application.
  10. Select the Sign on tab. Right-click the Identity Provider metadata link under View Setup Instructions and click Save link as. Save the metadata file as metadata_okta.xml so it can be used in later steps.
  11. Navigate to the Infor CloudSuite portal and select the Okta federation check box. Click the delete icon. Click Yes on the Delete Items confirmation message.
  12. See Exporting Infor CloudSuite metadata and Adding Okta configuration to Infor CloudSuite to re-create the federation within Infor CloudSuite by using InforSTS and to export the Infor CloudSuite metadata to be used by Okta. Review your notes on federation settings as they may differ from what is outlined in those sections. Ensure to maintain original federation settings.
  13. Configure the Okta Active Mode tab, if required, with the values saved previously.
  14. Navigate to the Okta portal and the Infor CloudSuite application.
  15. Select the Sign On tab and click Edit.
  16. Remove any values from the Base URL (old) if populated. Specify the Assertion Consumer Service and Entity ID values from Infor CloudSuite saved from previous steps.
  17. Click Save at the bottom of the page. Federation updating is now complete.
  18. After the federation has been updated using InforSTS, validate authentication through Okta to the Infor CloudSuite portal.
