Show the UTC date and time

By default, the timestamps are shown in your local time zone in Atlas, but you can convert to display their UTC values.

The data object timestamp properties are originally stored in Data Lake with the UTC time zone. It can be convenient to refer to the original value. For example, to use a timestamp that you found in Atlas to query the Compass lastModified column or to use the dataobjects API when you require the value in UTC.

To show date time values in UTC click the Clock icon above the data grid. The UTC value is shown on the list of object names in the left panel and in the data objects data grid. The clock is highlighted when UTC is selected. To show the local time zone click the Clock icon again.
