Refreshing application data

You can refresh a tenant at the environment level. An environment is an individual application or set of applications associated with a tenant type, such as training or production. If you refresh at the environment level, you cannot specify a sub-set of content to refresh.

The software version of the applications in both the source and target tenants must be the same.

When you refresh individual environments, data consistency between applications can be affected.

This example of the order of refresh can protect data consistency:

  1. lnfor OS
  2. CloudSuite Financials & Supply Management
  3. d/EPM
  4. GFC
  5. Global HR/Talent Management

The preferred order of refresh for individual applications varies by each implementation. Consult your application's user guide for details.

  1. Navigate to your CloudSuite Portal customer administration main page. From the top left corner, select the Suites tab.
  2. Select the environment to be refreshed. Click REFRESH ENVIRONMENT.
  3. Specify this information:
    Source Environment
Specify the source tenant containing the refresh data.
    Run Date
Specify the date that the job will run.

Choose a pre-defined time window from the drop-down menu. The action will begin at the start of that time window. See the Window Details section for the specific times associated with the run window you chose.

    Full Refresh
Currently, only full refresh is supported. Leave this check box selected.
Deactivate source tenant while exporting data?
If selected, users will not be able to log in during the export phase of the refresh. This check box is cleared by default.
    Parameters
Different environments require different parameters to the refresh request. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required and must be entered before you submit the data refresh request.
  4. Click SUBMIT.
You are returned to the target tenant screen. Click the Refresh Requests tab to see the progress of your request.
