Guidelines
These are cloning guidelines:
- Refresh is allowed only between tenants of the same customer. Note these
restrictions:
- A production tenant cannot be refreshed from any other tenant.
- A customer’s non-production tenant cannot be refreshed from another customer’s tenant.
- Some applications/environments are refreshed as one product, for example: Infor OS core.
- The source and target tenants must have the same app version.
- Only full copies of tenants are supported at this time (app restriction).
- CSP ensures that the source tenant and target tenant are the same version by invoking the getVersion farm level API.
- The source tenant is always a live tenant that is patched or upgraded as part of the standard patching cycle. Restoring from static snapshot files is not supported.
- The source tenant may or may not be deactivated. It is recommended, however, that the source tenant be deactivated.
- The destination tenant is always deactivated before data is restored to it.
- Concurrent snapshot or restoration requests to a tenant are not supported by CSP. CSP ensures that only one snapshot or restoration request is invoked against a tenant at a given time.
- In the event of a failure, the destination tenant is not rolled back. CSP provides an option to resume the process provided the applications support it.
