Unit of measure

In Atlas you can change the unit of measure that is shown for the Compressed Size and Uncompressed Size object properties. The unit of measure is applied on the data grid, dialog boxes, and the object details.

The data object size is originally stored in bytes in the Data Lake object properties. In Atlas, by default, the size is displayed in kilobytes.

To change the unit of measure:

  1. Click the Unit of Measure drop-down list above the data grid.
    The menu label indicates the currently selected one, for example KB.
  2. Select the unit of measure to change to:
    • Bytes
    • Kilobytes (KB)
    • Megabytes (MB)
    • Gigabytes (GB)
  3. When using the size column filters you must search for a value according to the selected unit of measure.
