Showing UTC date time
By default, the timestamps are shown in your local time zone in Atlas, but it can be converted to display the UTC value.
The data object timestamp properties are originally stored in Data Lake with the UTC time zone. It can be convenient to refer to the original value. For example, to use a timestamp that you found in Atlas to query the Compass lastModified column or to use the dataobjects API when you require the value in UTC.
To show date time values in UTC click the
icon above the data grid. The UTC value is shown on the list of object names in the left panel as well as in the data objects data grid. When showing UTC is enabled the clock is highlighted. To show the local time zone click the icon again.
