Compass

Compass is a suite of Data Fabric tools that provide data consumers with interfaces for connecting to and processing ANSI SQL queries against data objects stored within the Data Fabric.

The Compass Query Editor provides Infor OS users with a browser-based query interface for prototyping, testing, and processing SQL queries. Users are able to export query results for further local data processing on the user’s machine. Usage of the Compass query editor metered for Compute Time consumption accordingly and exporting data from the Compass Query Editor is subject to Egress metering.

Compass RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) allow data developers and RESTful applications and clients to programmatically submit SQL queries and stream the results of a query to a data consumer. Usage of Compass APIs is subject to service limits described within the Infor ION API service levels, metered Compute Time, and Egress metering on content delivery when data is streamed out of the Infor cloud.

Compass database drivers such as the Compass JDBC driver allow data developments and applications to connect to, query, and retrieve results using ANSI SQL processed against data objects stored within the Data Fabric. Query execution time spent within the Compass JDBC driver and any Compass database drivers provided by Infor is metered as a Compute Hour. Delivery of results may be subject to Egress metering for content delivery when data is streamed out of the Infor cloud.

Queries submitted for processing through the Compass query platform are subject to a 60-minute timeout.
