Troubleshooting tools and agents

After sending a query to the Chat, users can expect to see these statuses from the chatbot:

  • Working indicator to signify that the query is received by the chatbot agent
  • Selection of the tool or tools that was/were selected to execute the user query

After this process, a final response is prompted to the user. In case that the incorrect tool is selected or the response provided is not aligned with the user’s expectations, use the Tool History functionality made available under the generated answer by the chat for troubleshooting.

To do this, click the Expand icon next to Tool History. Review the status and tool that was selected. At the end of the Tool History, click Show Data to open the Tool Response Data, where users can review the following items:

  • Request Args: API request body details
  • Response Body: API response body details
  • AI Output: When applicable, the generated response from the LLM
