MCP

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Service provides a standardized framework that connects contextual data from Infor CloudSuite applications with GenAI Assistant usage.

This service enables seamless integration of API tools, delivering real-time context and capabilities to support intelligent automation.

The MCP servers are deployed in API Gateway as an endpoint as part of the specific application Suite with type MCP.

Using this architecture, you can submit prompts to the GenAI Assistant. The Assistant evaluates available MCP Tools and connects to relevant Infor CloudSuites, each hosting its own MCP server.

Each supported CloudSuite provides these components:

  • MCP Tools: API functions that the GenAI Assistant can run.

  • Prompts: Predefined message templates used to trigger MCP Tools.

  • Resources: Contextual data accessible to both the user and the GenAI Assistant.

Note: To assign MCP Tools to GenAI Agents, use the Agent Editor. Go to the Tools tab and select the appropriate MCP Service option.
