Boost factor

You can prioritize document search results between the Public Knowledge Hub and the Private Knowledge Hub by using the Boost Factory.

To configure the Boost Factory, go to GenA > Admin, and then select an option under Boost Settings.

Note: 

To configure this setting, you must have the GenAI-Admin IFS user role.

Note: System documents are public and available to all customers. Customer documents are private and available only within the customer’s tenant.

Boost options

  • NONE

    No boost is applied. This is the default setting. Customer content and system content have equal ranking.

  • SLIGHTLY_CUSTOMER

    A mild preference is applied to customer-specific content over system content.

  • SLIGHTLY_SYSTEM

    A mild preference is applied to system-wide content over customer-specific content.

  • STRONGLY_CUSTOMER

    A strong preference is applied to customer-specific content. Customer results receive a significant ranking boost.

  • STRONGLY_SYSTEM

    A strong preference is applied to system-wide content. System results receive a significant ranking boost.

  • FORCEFULLY_CUSTOMER

    A maximum preference is applied to customer-specific content. Customer results are heavily prioritized.

  • FORCEFULLY_SYSTEM

    A maximum preference is applied to system-wide content. System results are heavily prioritized.
