ResearchAgent focus mode

The ResearchAgent (GENAI_ResearchAgent) is a built-in, read-only focus mode that enables document-based knowledge retrieval using the idm_semantic_search tool.

It is displayed as a non-editable option in the Agent list view.

The ResearchAgent is available when either the Private or Public Knowledge Hub feature and the ResearchAgent feature flag are enabled.

All document look-up prompts are exclusively handled by the ResearchAgent when this focus mode is active.

When the ResearchAgent is enabled, the QuestionAnswerTool is no longer listed in the Tools list view.

If Infor Document Management (IDM) is not present in the tenant, the ResearchAgent cannot run and returns an error.

Note: The ResearchAgent is available in the GenAI Assistant or Chat interface as GENAI_ResearchAgent.
