Configuring the Categories

  1. Select Configuration > Categories. The Categories screen is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Category ID
    A unique ID used to categorize the item.
    Note: 
    • This field cannot be modified.
    • The value is populated by the application when the category is created.
    Category Name
    The name used for categorizing the item.
    Status
    The status of the category. The possible values are:
    • Active
    • Inactive
    Auto Assign
    Select this check box to automatically add the category to the Revenue Center Category tab with an Active status.
  3. Specify this information in the Category Details section:
    Is Recently Added
    If this check box is selected, the category has been added recently.
    End Date
    The date to which the category remains active.
  4. Click Save.
    Note: A confirmation message is displayed wherein you can select:
    • Yes, to add the category to all the existing revenue centers.
    • No, to save the category without assigning to the existing revenue centers.
