Reverting batch updates

Use this procedure to undo a batch update and restore a rule to its previous rule mapping or rule script record. You can revert individual or multiple batch-updated rules at once.

Select BPA Designer > Rules.
Select a rule record that has a batch update indicator. Batch-updated rules are identified by an info icon displayed next to the rule name.
Select Actions > Revert Rule. A confirmation message is displayed.
Click Yes to proceed.

The rule mapping or rule script is restored to a record before the batch update was applied. The rule is automatically re-activated.

Alternatively, you can select multiple rule records by accessing the Revert Batch Update action within the source rule mapping or rule script screen.

Note: After reverting, the batch-update indicator is removed from the rule name. The revert restores only the rule script. Rule setup attributes, including sender entity, receiver entity, input document, and output document are not affected.
