Updating rules by batch

Use this procedure to apply a rule mapping or rule script change to multiple rule records that share the same processing logic.

Select BPA Designer > Rules.
Select a rule record to be used as the source for the batch update.
Select Actions > Batch Update. The Batch Update window is displayed.
Select the target rule records where the rule mapping or rule script is applied. The list displays active rules with the same scenario, input and output document, and document reference setup as the source rule.
Click Update. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes to proceed.

Note: The batch update replaces the rule mapping or rule script of the selected target rules with the source rule mapping or rule script. Selected rules are automatically re-activated. An information icon is displayed next to the name of each rule record to indicate that the current rule mapping or rule script was updated through the batch process.
