On Your Radar

This widget displays alerts that require immediate attention. Four tiles show the number of individual records that meet specific conditions. Clicking a tile navigates you to the General Ledger Journal Control page, where you can perform the relevant action or alert the appropriate supervisor.

This list shows the standard tiles:

  • Pending Approval Journals

This tile displays journals that are currently pending approval. It enables users to quickly identify outstanding approvals and proactively notify the respective approvers to take immediate action, ensuring timely processing and preventing delays in financial operations.

  • Unposted Journals

The Unposted Journals tile shows the total number of journals that have not yet been posted. For accountants, this serves as a key control point during the financial closing process. When the tile is clicked, the system navigates to the General Ledger Journal Control page, where accountants can review all unposted journals, verify completeness and accuracy, and proceed with posting. If any journal contains missing information, is on hold, or requires clarification, the accountant collaborates with the respective users to resolve the issues. Once validated, the journals are posted, supporting timely period closure and accurate financial reporting.

  • Transaction Interface

The Transaction Interface tile displays the number of transactions currently stuck in the interface table. Clicking the tile navigates the user to the GL Transaction Interface page for detailed review. These transactions typically originate from third-party systems, with a significant portion coming from payroll transactions. If journals fail to progress from the interface, the tile provides immediate visibility, allowing users to quickly identify and address underlying issues. By correcting, reprocessing, or coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve these transactions, users help ensure a smooth flow of journals into the system. This proactive approach minimizes delays and supports a more efficient and timely period close process.

  • System Closing Control

The System Closing Control tile shows the number of subsystem periods that remain open. Clicking the tile navigates users to the System Closing Control page, where they can notify the respective module owners to complete their subsystem period closures. This step is essential to close the main General Ledger period and ensure that the books of accounts are up to date.
