Packing Slip Processing

Packing Slip Processing is a solution that removes manual effort in processing vendor packing slips in FSM. The solution uses RPA, IDP, FSM APIs, and an AI-based address-matching model.

Packing slip processing often requires these manual activities:

  • Receive package in warehouse
  • Retrieve packing slip document from the package
  • Validate items against the actual package received
  • Create Purchase Order (PO) Receipts
  • Scan packing slip documents to create a soft copy
  • Attach the packing slip (PDF) to the corresponding PO Receipts

This automation solution changes manual workflow into a controlled, intelligent, and fully traceable end-to-end process.

Modes of implementation

Packing slip processing is run through these modes:

  • Attended mode: The user must download and use the most recent version of Tray Assistant from RPA Management.
    • Download the Tray Assistant ION API file.
    • Open the Infor RPA Tray Assistant application.
    • After a successful login, verify or install the latest workflow process.
    • Provide all the necessary user arguments.
  • Unattended mode: The user must open the Infor OS and the RPA Management application to provide process parameters and to configure and implement the job.
