Packing Slip Attachment

Packing Slip Attachment is a solution that removes manual effort in processing vendor packing slips in FSM. The solution uses RPA, IDP, FSM APIs, and an AI-based address-matching model.

Packing slip processing often requires these manual activities:

  • Receive package in warehouse
  • Retrieve packing slip document from the package
  • Validate items against the actual package received
  • Create Purchase Order (PO) Receipts
  • Scan packing slip documents to create a soft copy
  • Attach the packing slip (PDF) to the corresponding PO Receipts

This solution automates the validation and attachment of packing slips by extracting, matching, and verifying document data with FSM transactions, and seamlessly attaching them to the respective Purchase Order Receipts after successful validation.

Modes of implementation

Packing slip processing is run through these modes:

  • Attended mode: The user must download and use the most recent version of Tray Assistant from RPA Management.
    • Download the Tray Assistant ION API file.
    • Open the Infor RPA Tray Assistant application.
    • After a successful login, verify or install the latest workflow process.
    • Provide all the necessary user arguments.
  • Unattended mode: The user must open the Infor OS and the RPA Management application to provide process parameters and to configure and implement the job.
