Creating bins

Use this procedure to set up bins to organize your items.

  1. Select Application Administration > Supply Management > Inventory > Setup.
  2. On the Bins panel, click Bins.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Company
    Specify the company.
    Location
    Specify the location.
    Bin
    Bin codes are user created and must be used if you use bin control inInventory Control.
    Bin Type
    Bin types are optional and set up in Bin Usage Types. If used, you can restrict item issues and receipts to a bin.
    Storage Code
    Select a storage codes are optional and set up in Storage Codes. Bin storage codes define physical bin limitations. Storage codes allow you to analyze in bin storage capacities in Available Bin Space.
    Global Location Number
    Specify the global location number.
  5. Click Save.
