General par terms

Infor Par and Cycle Counting uses a number of terms to refer to inventory quantities:

Terms Definition
Par or par level This is an optimum quantity of an item maintained by the inventory system.
Par form This is a list of items grouped together for inventory purposes.
Par count This is a list of par form items and its current quantity as specified by a materials tech.
Par for item This is one of the items in a par form. The same item may have different par levels in different par forms. Pick for Par is a par form that is usually replenished from a stock location requisition as the result of a Par Count submitted to the Procurement server.
Pick list This is a list of items that is picked from a stock location in response to a pick for par. It should not to be confused with a pick list generated by Inventory Control (IC).
