Adding Kanban counts in Android

Use this procedure to record Kanban count of items using the handheld terminal application. Before you use Kanban using the handheld application, you or your administrator must configure the location, items and bins in Configure Item Bins and Label Printing in the application. See "Configure Item Bins" in the Mobile Supply Chain Management Administration Guide for more information.

Note: When Item Lifecycle Management is enabled a blue alert button or icon will appear for items set to status of warning. Items set to warning will be allowed to be used in transaction. A red alert button or icon will appear for items set to status of hard error. Items set to hard error will not be allowed to be used in transactions. This is only available on Android.
  1. On the MPC Home page, tap the options menu (three bars) icon. The MPC sidebar panel is displayed.
  2. Tap Kanban Count. The Kanban Post screen is displayed.
  3. To change a company:
    1. Tap the options menu (three dots) icon.
    2. Tap Change Company. The Change Company page is displayed.
    3. Select the company:

      1. Tap the company from the list.

      2. Optionally, search for a company by specifying the company details on the search filed.

        Tap the company you searched for.

  4. Tap the plus icon to select and add a par form. The Select Parform page is displayed.
  5. Tap the par location(s) from the list.
    1. Optionally, search for a par form(s) by specifying the par form(s) details on the search field.
    2. Tap the par location(s) you searched for.
    3. Tap OK. The selected par location(s) is displayed.
  6. Tap par location. The Item/Bin Replenish List View screen is displayed.
  7. Scan the empty bin label of each item.

    Optionally, you can also tap on the options menu (three dots) icon and select Find Items to search for item(s).

    Note: 

    If the bin quantity that has to be replenished falls below the re-order point, a warning message is displayed.

  8. Tap the Details View button to view details of each item bin. Tap Next to view next item bin.
  9. Tap Done when finished with the Kanban counting. The Kanban Post screen is displayed.
    Note: 

    In case the Par Level was updated in FSM or in a handheld device during Par Counting Edit Par Level, the quantity per bin needs to be updated in Par Count Configuration Configure Item Bins in web.

  10. Tap the Send button on each row to send count per location.

    Optionally, tap Options menu (three dots) icon and select Send All to send all par forms. A confirmation message is displayed.
